Fact: EVERYONE has a pelvic floor. This includes women who are moms, women who are not moms, and men too! Your pelvic floor health can impact your running form and your running form can impact your pelvic floor health.
 
Pelvic floor therapists Dana and Norah of Functional Phyzio will be joining us for a workshop to answer all of your questions about running and the pelvic floor and where these two things intersect on Saturday, May 10th at the Downtown shop, immediately following Saturday Morning Run Club. 
 
They will cover the following topics:
  • What your pelvic floor actually is & why you should care about it
  • Basic exercises & stretches to help keep your pelvic floor happy & healthy
  • How your running form & technique could be contributing to your pelvic floor symptoms
  • How to improve your mechanics, breathing & posture to overcome common pelvic floor symptoms such as leaking, heaviness & pelvic pain! 
Plus all participants will be eligible for an exclusive assessment with Functional Phyzio
 
As always, we will depart from the Downtown shop at 8:00 am for our Saturday morning running / walking miles. We’ll start the clinic at 9:00am. It’s free, but please register here to join us.
