Occoneechee Speedway Relay

RACE DATE: January 21, 2024 @ 1:00pm

2024 RESULTS!

This relay will consist of 20 laps (each lap is just over 1 kilometer) making the total distance roughly 13.5 miles. Just like pit row, teams will line the field as their teammates race around the track awaiting the signal to hand-off, which can happen in any order and after any given number of laps. There is no required distance for each runner, nor is there a specific order of hand-off that has to be followed. It’s quite simple: your team needs to complete a total of 20 laps to finish the relay!

**The first team registrant (or team captain) will pay the total team registration fee in order to secure a spot for their 2 or 4 person team. Each teammate will then register individually to join the team and will not be charged a registration fee. This race does sell out!

Registration fees: $100 per 2 person team & $200 per 4-person team.
All participants will receive custom Speedway Relay swag, chip-timed race results, snacks and refreshments, and delicious BBQ and beer spread!

After the Relay, we will relocate to nearby Eno River Brewing for an awards ceremony at 4:30pm!

Race Logistics

PRE – RACE PACKET PICKUP: Saturday 1/20
3:00-5:00pm @ Bull City Running – Downtown (501 Washington St.)
**Please have ONE person pickup for the entire team! Please coordinate!

RACE DAY: Sunday 1/21
11:45a-12:45pm @ Occoneechee Speedway
1:00pm: START time for all teams!
2:30pm – 4:00pm: Enjoy BBQ from Hillsborough BBQ and beer from Eno River Brewing (on site!)
4:30pm: Awards ceremony at Eno River Brewing (at the brewery!)
*Please arrive early if you would like to find space for a team tent along the Speedway

Accommodations & Parking

ALL RELAY RUNNERS AND SPECTATORS ARE REQUIRED TO CARPOOL. Parking is very limited and there is NO PARKING available at the Speedway. You will be directed to park at OE Enterprises close to the Speedway entrance. The Speedway is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from these parking areas.

The Occoneechee Speedway is located in Hillsborough, NC. Please carpool with your team! Parking is limited and you will be directed to park on the property of businesses that neighbor the Speedway. GPS Location Directions.
